This op-ed was printed in Charleston’s Post & Courier on March 6, 2020 and states that all landowners have the right to protect their private property. Charlestonians are using tax dollars to save private property and infrastructure along the Battery. Likewise, DeBordieu should be allowed to use private monies to renourish its beach. All property in the Palmetto State is worth saving.
