Don’t Miss the Boat!

Important Boat Parking and Storage Reminders

As a boating and beach-loving community, we understand the enjoyment and convenience that comes with owning a boat. However, to maintain the beauty and harmony of our neighborhood, there are specific rules regarding boat storage at residences that community members are required to follow. Per the Guidelines, “Boats must be parked within the garage of the residence or in the designated Dry Storage area within DeBordieu. On-site storage of a boat, other than in a garage area, is only allowed if the storage area is screened from the street and neighbors. Prior ARB approval is required for the latter, with screened on-site boat parking.”

The Architectural Review Board (ARB) enforces boat storage rules with a balanced approach. For instance, there may be valid reasons for a boat to be temporarily parked in a driveway, such as preparation for a weekend outing with visiting grandchildren or a short wait before returning it to proper storage. Similarly, if a homeowner is out of town, a delay in addressing the situation may occur. Your cooperation in following the established guidelines and helping to preserve the character of our community is appreciated.
