DeBordieu Colony Water Level Sensor

DeBordieu Colony joins a network of coastal communities (Pawleys Island, Isle of Palms, Edisto, Kiawah and Seabrook Islands) that have installed a water-level sensor to assist homeowners in gathering information about localized tide levels.  The device is located on the creek near the fish cleaning station in the DeBordieu canal.  This water level sensor will provide real-time water level data and improved tidal predictions to our community.

Homeowners interested in monitoring water levels within the creek can access the website at https://dashboard.hohonu.io/map-page. Registration is required. Current and past data can be compared to predict actual tides as compared to predicted tide levels.

A water level monitoring sensor in our community will allow our Grounds Operations staff to plan for and manage possible nuisance flooding in the future. It will benefit our entire community to obtain data that is presently lacking and will fill a significant knowledge gap.
