DeBordieu Colony hosts Annual Public Safety Appreciation Golf Tournament

“It’s the camaraderie with fellow officers and being able to show appreciation for their efforts that make it all worthwhile,” said Mike Grabarz, DeBordieu Colony Security Chief.  For the 17th year DeBordieu Colony Community Association and Golf Club co-sponsored its annual golf tournament to thank local law enforcement and first responders who assist Georgetown residents year round.  “Our first tournament and dinner took place shortly after September 11, 2001, and the DeBordieu Public Safety Appreciation Golf Tournament has been a tradition since,” added Grabarz

Held on Monday, November 5, 2018, and attended by over 100 participants from Georgetown County government, Georgetown Sheriff’s Department, S.C. Highway Patrol, S.C. Law Enforcement Division and Midway Fire Department, to name a few, the Captain’s Choice golf tournament was followed by a dinner and trophy presentation to the top team.
