9:00 AM to Noon

Waccamaw Intermediate School

320 Wildcat Way, Pawleys Island

Tired of storing that old paint?

Finally ready to part with those incandescent light bulbs?

Now is your chance to purge the environmentally-friendly way as Georgetown County is sponsoring a Household Hazardous Waste collection event at Waccamaw Intermediate School on Saturday, April 6 from 9 am to noon. The school is located at 320 Wildcat Way, Pawleys Island.

In addition to safely disposing of non-commercial pesticides, fertilizers, and anything labeled “poisonous” or “toxic,” paper shredding will be available.

Some residents have learned the hard way that paint cans dropped into their trash receptacles often end up with paint spilled on roadways. Please use this free opportunity to get rid of hazardous household waste.
